Stansted sits about 38 miles north-east of central London in Essex, at the end of the M11. It has one passenger terminal, which makes arrivals simpler than at Heathrow or Gatwick: there is one arrivals hall and one place your driver will be waiting.
The drive is almost entirely motorway — the M11 down to the North Circular or the A12, depending on which part of London you are heading for. That makes journey times more predictable than the distance suggests, though the last stretch into the city centre is subject to the usual congestion.
Stansted is dominated by low-cost and charter airlines, which means a lot of very early departures and a lot of late-night arrivals. Both are normal bookings for us. If you are landing after midnight, your driver waits inside the terminal as usual — there is no surcharge for an unsociable hour, because our fares do not change with demand.
